How Can I Make These Wreaths

Does anyone know of a tutorial to make a wreath similar to the ones in the picture?

I know I saw one somewhere, but I can't remember where. Also, I can't recall where I got this picture. I saved it a long time ago so if you recognize it let me know so I can give some credit

Don't you just love that mantle?

Thanks for the help.

  1. my two cents:
it kind of looks like carnations? if i were recreating this(which i just may have to now!!), i would buy some red silk carnations and hot glue them really close together on a wreath form.

  2. Those look (texture-wise) like the coffee filter wreath Nester recently made: http://www.thenester.com/2010/11/making-a-coffee-filter-wreath-and-tree-and-things-of-that-nature.html

As for obtaining the red color ... maybe spray paint it after you've made it? That's all I can think of right now.

  6. Hmmm...that is a beautiful mantle/fireplace. If only it was mine.

Here's a tutorial for a white wreath made with cupcake liners, but it's white.

Here's a tutorial that uses the same technique, sort of.

  7. Have you thought about dyeing coffee filters to make this? I've seen a lot of wreaths made with coffee filters on blogs lately. Here's a few links:

  8. That is a beautiful mantle! To me the wreaths look like they are made from carnations? And the garland looks like Bells of Ireland flowers?

  12. You could do a coffee filter wreath. They look very similar, although you'd need to dye the coffee filters red or cut out circles/scalloped circles from red tissue. Or you could try a rolled felt rose wreath.
