Reason 212 Why I love Craigslist
I have wanted a concrete birdbath FOREVER but they are pricey. So the other day when I was cruising Craigslist free section, I saw an ad for a birdbath, or so I thought. I immediately sent an email expressing interest. I got an email back stating the ad was for a birdhouse, but she actually had a birdbath too. A little convincing the hubby to take a trip with me and I now have a concrete birdbath and a huge birdhouse that is going to be really cute after a makeover.
Isn't she cute. I added a couple of plants, Vinca and Plantain Lily.
Now I think it might be my favorite little spot in our yard.

ReplyDeleteGREAT find! We got one out of the trash a few years ago and the basin cracked. I'm keeping the stand (great for displaying birdhouses!) but one of my goals this summer is to find another for dirt cheap!

ReplyDeleteAwesome find! I never seem to find good free things on Craigslist. The funniest thing ever was a free bag of mismatched socks; some had holes in them! Nice.
ReplyDeleteWow! That is an awesome find! I am getting leary of Craigslist in our area - the last two times we listed things, we got very strange and weird phone calls. I am afraid those same people may be listing as well.

I love any good deal whether it be clothes for my 15 year old daughter at Goodwill or an amazing find at IKEA in the as is section. Unfortunately Craigslist is not well used in our small community. So I will look forward to living vicariously through seeing your finds. I'm a follower!
ReplyDeleteso cute! i love craigslist too! we have a local online classified that is awesome and i use that a lot. i just figure why pay full price when i can get one gently used, right? ;) especially things like this, for the yard or home. i'm excited to see your birdhouse makeover. ;)
