Amanda at Serenity Now is hosting a monthly party called Dishing It in an attempt to build relationships in the blog world. I am not going to lie, I was a little hesitant to join. Not because I didn't think it was a great idea, but because it isn't a project related post so it pushes me out of my comfort zone, but I decided what the heck, on with the party. The questions...
1. How long have you been blogging?
I have had my own blog since January of 2010, but I have been BLURFFING (blog surfing) for a while now. I was and am addicted to seeing great ideas.
2. Why did you start blogging?
I wanted a place to keep track of what inspires me, and maybe be able to inspire someone else.
3. Tell me about your blog's title. Why did you choose it?
I am very cheap, I mean Frugal, everything I work on is for my Home, and my projects have something to do with Design.
4. What is your favorite thing about blogging?
I love all the awesome projects I see out there in blogland. Also, it is nice to get affirmation on projects I work on. As a stay-at-home mom it feels nice to be appreciated or acknowledged for something other than a good lunch or clean clothes, which I know are also important and wonderful, but I love that my other skills are being recognized. Blogging challenges my creativity and forces me to finish projects!
5. If you had to choose one famous person to become your blog's next devoted reader, who would you pick?
This is a hard question for me--I love to keep up on my celebrity gossip, and I always wish I could get a glimpse into their real life. If I have to pick one I would say Reece Witherspoon. She seems smart, funny, and sensible. Now if the question was who you want to meet or spend time with, I am leaning towards Angelina Jolie. I would love to know if she is as crazy as she seems in the tabloids.
6. What's the funniest comment you've ever received on a blog post?
I actually haven't received any funny ones yet. They have all been very nice and supportive.
Just a reminder I am hosting a MY FAVORITE DIY party with a chance to win a 1- year subscription to DIY Magazine.

I so get what you mean about some recognition beyond mommy duties. I think we are so lucky to have an outlet like blogging. Can't wait to poke around your blog a little more.
ReplyDeleteI love your peg board jewelry organizer. Great idea!
ReplyDeleteQ: What do you call cheese that’s not yours?
A: Nachos Cheese
Your first almost funny post (:
Hello! Just stopping by from Amanda's party! You have already introduced me to a new word ... blurffing ... THAT is hilarious!!!
ReplyDeleteHi! Here from the party! I think it's so funny that we chose the same celebrity. haha and I was VERY hesitant in joining. I do not really "blog" a whole lot and just started getting into it. My friends and family think it's cheesy so I gotta suck it up and do what I love! lol :) Nice to see your site!!
ReplyDeleteHi! Visiting from the party! I totally get being appreciated for something part, everyone in my house believes in the cooking, cleaning, laundry fairy! It's nice to be able to share your creations with others! Have a great night!
ReplyDeletePopping over from the Dishing It party! Love finding new frugal DIY blogs... great inspiration for my own reno-venture!
ReplyDeleteHi, Fawn. :) I'm so glad you joined the party! I love inexpensive DIY projects too. Reese Witherspoon is another famous person I thought about putting down for my answer. ;) Thanks for linking up with me. Hope you're having fun "mingling" at the party. ;)
ReplyDeleteWow, you have done amazing things with your talent on your house. I did like the blue on the cabinet though... I love that magazine! It doesn't come out nearly enough for me though, something like 3 times a year. Came over from the dishing it party. Love your blog.
ReplyDeleteLove to hear about you!
ReplyDeleteNothing wrong with being frugal, there is a huge difference between frugal and cheap. I love finding ways to stretch our money and still create a home we enjoy and have many of the things we want, I just buy from others instead of full retail. There is an adventure in that.
ReplyDeleteJust stopping in to say hi. I'm going to look around while I'm here. Nice to meet you!
